Two years so two different guys. Mostly nice. But one athletic guy had swim practice at 7AM so would get up and make noise about 6AM. I did admire that he went across campus by bike in Winter mornings and swim in an outdoor pool. Not for me; I seldom got to bed before 1-2AM.
First guy married a girl down the hall and I was at their wedding. Wonder how they are doing.
Second guy, his father was a pilot and flew up on a small plane and took us on a sightseeing trip of the area. Then we went on his dad’s sailboat in San Francisco and somehow I dropped the keys in the water handing them to him. Don’t boat owners always use floaty things on them? Well, they didn’t! I think his dad had to drive up with spare keys
My first roommate was nice. My second one gave me the sense she thought she was better than me. My third was kind of a basket case, but it seems she turned out okay. My next one was a really good friend; I stood up in her wedding, but we haven’t spoken in years for whatever reason. I moved to an apartment afterward with three women I am forever indebted to for the way they cared for me despite me being a pain in the ass.
This question is phrased as though one should only have a single roommate in college. Is it just me? Am I the weird one who had multiple?
I had two roommates. One was an Irish guy from Long Island, NY. 'nuf said. The other requires a bit of back story In high school I dated a girl for several years. Her family moved to California at the start of my senior year. It turned out that my other roommate’s older brother was dating her older sister. Unpredictable small world. BUT… we recently reconnected and it turns out they got married and had a bunch of kids and live less than an hour from me. Not sure what the odds of that are
The girl I was placed with as my first roommate ended up dating this girl from down the hall. That girl’s roommate asked me if I wanted to be roommates with her, so then we could leave those girls to their own devices. So that girl became my second and last roommate, still friends now almost 30 years later

@pmarin Believe me, we all found out way too much about their devices in those first several weeks before the school allowed us to trade roommates
